In 1990 China first started to work out a plan to build a Formula One circuit and in 2004 the first Grand Prix took place at the Shanghai Circuit attracting 260,000 spectators.
My last visit to a Formula 1 race was in Belgium, Spa in 2008. I remember arriving a few kilometers away from the track hearing the roar of the cars. I loved it but my ears begged for earplugs or otherwise I would have left the race deaf. For this years Formula 1 season the rules have changed along with the engines, leaving the spectators with a quieter experience that was just as thrilling.
